Russia says at least 15 policemen killed in Dagestan attacks

The governor of Russia’s Dagestan Republic, Sergei Melikov, announced on Monday that the number of victims of terrorist attacks has risen to more than 15 policemen, and a number of civilians have also been killed.
Security forces in the Russian Republic of Dagestan on Sunday evening eliminated at least six militants in the republic, four of them in Makhachkala and two in Derbent.

According to Russia’s Counter-Terrorism Committee, armed attacks were carried out on Sunday evening in Derbent and Makhachkala on two Orthodox churches, a synagogue and a traffic police station. The Russian Investigative Committee in Dagestan has opened criminal proceedings under Article “Terrorist Attack”.
