21 Palestinian children with cancer transferred from Gaza to Egypt

An official source in the Egyptian Red Crescent reported on Thursday that 21 children suffering from cancer crossed from Gaza to Egypt through the Kerem Shalom crossing for the first time since the start of the war on Gaza on 7 October.

The source told the Arab World News Agency (AWP) that the transfer of the patients to the Egyptian side was coordinated with the World Health Organisation (WHO) for treatment in Egyptian hospitals.

According to the source, this is the first time in almost two months that patients have been allowed to leave Gaza.
