China warns of more rains after flooding in northeast

China today warned of more rainstorms sweeping across the country and urged citizens to prepare for possible landslides, as a prolonged spell of bad weather threatens travel and agriculture.
Chinese authorities issued a red alert through Xinhua on Saturday, the most severe in the four-tier warning system, to warn of the threat of rainstorms, the National Meteorological Centre said.

Potential geological disasters have been warned in areas affected by the rains, including Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi and Guizhou provinces, the National Meteorological Centre said.
