The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) reported on Friday that the head of the Mossad, David Brennai, had travelled to Doha to hold talks with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on the prisoner swap deal and the Gaza ceasefire.
Israel Radio quoted Israeli officials as saying that the negotiations would take a long time.

Palestinian factions in Gaza and Israel have been holding indirect negotiations for months, mediated by Qatar, Egypt and the US, to reach a prisoner swap deal and end the war on Gaza.
