The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, stated today, Tuesday, that his office is monitoring reports of a mass grave discovered in the desert on the Libyan-Tunisian border, expressing his condemnation of the successive and alarming developments in Libya.
Additionally, the International Organization for Migration reported the discovery of the bodies of at least 65 migrants in a mass grave in southwestern Libya during March last year.
During his address to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Volker Turk called on authorities to promptly respond to all inquiries and conduct a comprehensive investigation into these crimes.
