Stunning victory for Alcaraz in Wimbledon final against Djokovic

Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz, ranked third globally, successfully defended his Wimbledon tennis championship title, the third of the four Grand Slam tournaments, by defeating Serbian player Novak Djokovic, ranked second, in the final held today, Sunday. The match ended with a score of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).
This victory marks a significant achievement for Alcaraz, who is 21 years old, as he secured the title for the second consecutive time after beating Djokovic in the 2023 Wimbledon final, thereby increasing his tally to four Grand Slam titles.
Meanwhile, Djokovic failed to clinch the title for the eighth time in his career, thus not equalling Swiss player Roger Federer’s record in this context.
