Eleven people have died after a bridge collapsed in northern China, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Saturday, at a time when part of the country is experiencing heavy rains.
The highway bridge collapsed on Friday due to heavy rains and flash floods in Shangluo, Shaanxi province. Shangluo is located about 900 kilometres southwest of Beijing.
