Presidential elections in Tunisia: Administrative court rejects all appeals by candidates

Tunisia’s Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Monday that the Administrative Court had rejected all appeals against its decisions to reject candidacies for the presidential elections scheduled for 6 October.

The electoral commission said in a statement on Facebook that all seven appeals against the commission’s decisions to reject candidacies for the 2024 presidential elections have been provisionally rejected.

The electoral commission announced the acceptance of the files of three candidates out of 17, namely incumbent President Kais Saeed, Popular Movement Secretary General Zouhair Meghzawi and Azmoun Movement leader Ayachi Zemal.
