The Ras al-Ghadir border crossing between Tunisia and Libya has been completely paralysed in both directions since Thursday evening due to tensions between the government and popular groups demanding to be allowed to carry out their commercial activities between Tunisia and Libya.
In a protest movement, residents of the border areas blocked the road leading to the crossing, demanding that all travellers go to the Dheiba-Wahiba-Wazen crossing, the second crossing between Libya and Tunisia.
