Libyan authorities in the east of the country announced on Monday the suspension of oil production and exports until further notice in protest at the Tripoli authorities’ seizure of the headquarters of the Central Bank of Libya and the dismissal of its governor.
A state of force majeure has been declared on all oil fields and ports and the production and export of oil has been suspended until further notice,’ the Libyan government of the House of Representatives, based in Benghazi in the east of the country, said in a press statement.
