Overnight Russian attacks damaged a facility in the Sumy region, injuring at least nine people, and targeted an industrial plant in the Poltava region, Ukrainian local authorities said on Friday.

An air strike in the northeastern city of Sumy sparked a fire, prompting authorities to urge residents to stay indoors and close windows.
The Russian defence ministry said its air defence systems had destroyed 18 Ukrainian drones over the territory of several Russian regions.
