Russian air defenses shot down 158 Ukrainian drones over 15 Russian regions overnight, including two over the capital Moscow, the Defense Ministry announced today (Sunday).
The ministry stated on the Telegram app that the largest number, 122 drones, were downed over the regions of Kursk, Bryansk, Voronezh, and Belgorod, which are adjacent to Ukraine.
Moscow had earlier announced that it had thwarted new nighttime drone attacks, including a “massive” attack in the Bryansk region near the Ukrainian border and another targeting the Russian capital, without reporting any casualties.
Local Governor Alexander Bogomaz stated that “our defenses thwarted a massive drone attack over the Bryansk region.” He noted on Telegram that the Russian military detected at least 26 drones and “destroyed them,” with no resulting injuries or damage.
