Algeria has entered an electoral silence period that will last for three days until the presidential election scheduled for Saturday.
The electoral silence period is a period defined by the electoral law during which all campaign activities are suspended.
The campaign began on August 15 and lasted for 20 days within the framework of the controls set by the Algerian law on the electoral system.
The presidential candidates are incumbent President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Abdelali Hassani Cherif, head of the Movement of Society for Peace, and Youssef Ochich, first secretary of the Socialist Forces Front party.
