Zelensky proposes Andriy Sipiga as Foreign Minister

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed the name of Andriy Sipiga, the current deputy foreign minister, to take over the ministry, replacing the resigned Dmytro Kuleba.

According to a statement posted on the Ukrainian parliament’s website on Thursday, Zelensky submitted a draft presidential decree to parliament on the appointment of Sebiga as foreign minister.

Sebiga also previously served as Ukraine’s ambassador to Turkey from 2016 to 2021.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian lawmaker Yaroslav Yelzeniak announced in a post on his social media account that Foreign Minister Kuleba’s resignation was approved by parliament on Thursday.
