An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck the southern Turkish province of Kahramanmaras on Saturday.
Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (Avad) said a 5-magnitude earthquake struck Kahramanmaras at 3 GMT
It added in a statement on its Xbox account that the epicentre of the earthquake was in the Pazarcik district of the province.
The statement said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometres below the surface.
In a later statement, Avad said that there had been no casualties as a result of the earthquake and that field surveys were continuing in the area.
