Syrian state media reported that Israeli occupation carried out several attacks on the Hama countryside late Sunday, killing at least five civilians and wounding 13 people, some of them critically.

Sources said the attacks targeted a major military research center.

The Israeli occupation has stepped up its airstrikes on what it describes as Iranian-linked targets in Syria since Hamas launched an attack on southern Israel on October 7.

The Israeli occupation has also targeted Syrian army air defenses and some Syrian troops.
