French authorities have foiled three plots that would have targeted the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris and other cities hosting the summer events, French anti-terrorism prosecutor Olivier Christine said Wednesday.
The plots involved plans to attack Israeli institutions or representatives of Israel in Paris during the Olympics, Christine said.
Five people, including a minor, have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the three failed attacks.
The suspects face various terrorism-related charges and remain in custody, the prosecutor said.
