The UN mission resumes its mediation to resolve the Libyan Central Bank crisis

On Wednesday evening in Tripoli, representatives from the House of Representatives and the High Council of State met with the Presidential Council, under the UN mission’s guidance, to finalize an agreement to resolve the Central Bank management crisis.
Ahead of the meeting, House President Aguila Saleh blamed the Presidential Council, led by Mohammed al-Menfi, for the crisis, accusing it of overstepping its role and interfering with the powers of the other councils.
Saleh emphasized that the Presidential Council is responsible for recent issues at the Central Bank.
