Two missiles land near U.S. troop post in Baghdad

Two rockets landed near US troops stationed at Camp Victory near Baghdad airport, causing material damage but no casualties, security sources said.

In a statement to AFP, a senior Iraqi security official, speaking on condition of anonymity said “two Katyusha-type rockets” fell “one on the anti-terrorism fence and the second inside the base of the international coalition” led by Washington.

The U.S. Embassy did not comment on the news, while the Iraqi Security Media Cell said it was working to find out the details of the incident.
