Russia announced today that its forces have recaptured 10 villages in the Kursk region that were under the control of Ukrainian forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that units of the Northern Division soldiers liberated the villages in two days, and in the past 24 hours repelled two counterattacks by Ukrainian forces in the direction of Vanasevka and Snagost, and thwarted an attempted attack in the direction of Olgovka.
The ministry said that the Ukrainian armed forces lost about 20 dead and wounded soldiers, one armored combat vehicle and one car, and one Ukrainian soldier surrendered to Russian forces.
