A judicial source in Tunisia announced Thursday that six decomposed bodies of drowned migrants, including an infant, have been found in the latest tragedy to hit Tunisia’s coasts.

Monastir court spokesman Farid Juha told the German news agency DPA that the bodies were found Wednesday by naval guards on the coast of Monastir, east of Tunisia.

According to preliminary forensic information, the migrants were from sub-Saharan Africa and were believed to have drowned about a week ago, including a three-year-old girl.
