Russia announced on Friday that it had revoked the accreditation of six British diplomats on suspicion of espionage and posing a threat to the country’s security.

A statement from the Federal Security Service said Russian intelligence had seized documents “showing that Britain is coordinating to escalate the international military and political situation.”

“In this regard, on the basis of the documents received, Russia took action against London’s aggressive steps and canceled the accreditation of six people working in the political department of the British Embassy in Moscow,” he added.
