Twenty Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight over six Russian regions, the Russian Defense Ministry announced today.

The ministry said in a statement: “Last night an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using drones against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted,” the ministry said in a statement, according to Russia’s TASS news agency.

“Deployed air defense systems destroyed 20 Ukrainian drones. 8 of them over the territory of the Bryansk region, 4 over the territory of the Belgorod region, 3 over the territory of the Kursk region, 2 over the territory of the Smolensk and Oryol regions, and 1 over the territory of the Kaluga region.
