The Supreme Court in Brazil announced that one of its judges, Alexandre de Moraes, ordered the transfer of $3 million frozen in the accounts of the “X” platform and the “Starlink” satellite internet services company owned by American billionaire Elon Musk to the state.
This penalty was imposed on Musk’s two companies due to fines owed by the social media platform, which has been banned in Brazil by a court order since August 30.
“X” is used by 22 million people in Brazil, the largest number in Latin America.
