UN Allocates $24 Million to Support Vulnerable Populations in Lebanon

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Lebanon, Imran Riza, announced the allocation of $24 million from the humanitarian fund to support the most vulnerable and needy populations in Lebanon, and to address urgent needs of those affected in the south.
A statement from the UN clarified that this funding will provide emergency support in terms of food, shelter, and healthcare for the most needy individuals in the country. Riza urged the international community to provide urgent support for humanitarian efforts in Lebanon, noting that only 25% of the humanitarian appeal for this year has been met so far.
