At least nine people have been killed in a landslide that buried several homes in central Mexico, the AFP news agency reported, citing Mexican authorities.

Mexico’s National Civil Protection Agency said the disaster occurred on Saturday in the village of San Luis Ayucan near the capital, noting that rescue teams recovered nine bodies on Monday and managed to pull three people from under the mud piles left by the landslide.
