U.S. President Joe Biden has called on both sides of the conflict in Sudan to resume negotiations to end the war, which has killed tens of thousands of people.
“I call on the warring parties to withdraw their forces, facilitate humanitarian access, and resume negotiations to end this war,” Biden said in a statement released by the White House on Wednesday.
It is noteworthy that since April 15, 2023, the armed conflict in Sudan between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces continues, which has resulted in the killing of more than 20,000 people and the displacement of more than 10 million others, either through displacement within the country or as refugees outside it, according to UN reports.
