Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerli Qaya announced on Friday the arrest of 88 people suspected of belonging to the Daesh terrorist organisation.

In a post on his X account, the minister said the suspects were arrested in an operation coordinated by the intelligence and counter-terrorism departments of the General Directorate of Security.

He said 88 suspects had been arrested in five days of operations against the ISIS terrorist organisation in 23 Turkish provinces.
