The bodies of 11 people, including two decapitated, were found on Friday in the town of Ojinaga on the US border and on a drug trafficking route in Chihuahua state, Mexican authorities said.
State prosecutor Cesar Jauregui told reporters that the area bordering Texas where the bodies were found was the scene of a gang feud.
Ojinaga is about 400 kilometres from Ciudad Juarez, the largest city in Chihuahua state with a population of 22,000.
