The UAE National Committee for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Illicit Organisations will host the Asia-Pacific Anti-Money Laundering Group (APG) Annual Meeting and Technical Assistance and Training Forum for 2024 in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

The Emirates News Agency reported that the meeting will be attended by 42 jurisdictions representing the Asia-Pacific group, in addition to 8 supervising states and 33 supervising organisations.

The meeting is the first of its kind to be held in the Middle East and aims to enhance regional and international cooperation in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, and to share expertise and knowledge among member states.
