The euro sees a decline in commercial activity following the Paris Olympics

Business activity in the eurozone declined for the first time in seven months in September, as momentum in France waned following the conclusion of the Olympic Games, according to a significant survey published on Monday.
The S&P Global Purchasing Managers’ Index, considered a key measure of economic health, fell to 48.9 in September, down from 51 in August. Any figure below fifty indicates an economic contraction.
