The death toll from Israeli raids on southern Lebanon has risen to 100 dead and more than 400 wounded since Monday morning, an unprecedented number of casualties in a single day since the escalation between Hezbollah and Israel began almost a year ago. In a statement,
the Lebanese Health Ministry updated the toll from the ‘continuous attacks by the Israeli enemy on southern towns and villages since this morning’, which left ‘100 martyrs and more than 400 wounded, including children, women and paramedics’.
The ministry’s previous toll was 50 martyrs and more than 300 wounded.
