Erdoğan meets Zelensky in New York to try to revive grain deal and ceasefire

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said during his meeting with Vladimir Zelensky in New York that Ankara will make efforts to revive the grain deal and the ceasefire in Ukraine.

Erdogan received Zelensky on Tuesday evening at the Turkish House in New York, where Erdogan arrived to attend the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and Ukraine were discussed, according to a statement from the Turkish presidency.
Turkey is ready to take all possible steps to revive the Black Sea grain initiative and achieve a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia that could open the door to peace, the statement added.
