Hurricane John kills two in Mexico

At least two people were killed today as Hurricane John hit southern Mexico.

Two people died in a landslide that destroyed their home in the town of Tlacoachistlahuaca, local authorities said.

On Monday, Hurricane John made landfall in the southwest of the country with an intensity of Category 3 on the Saffir-Simpson scale prompting warnings of high winds and heavy rains.
