Lebanese authorities announced today that they have recorded the crossing of more than 31,000 people into Syria, with over half of them being Lebanese, in just two days as they flee the airstrikes and aggression carried out by Israeli occupation forces, according to AFP.
The Disaster Risk Management Unit of the Lebanese government stated, “In the past two days, the General Security has recorded the crossing of 15,600 Syrian citizens and 16,130 Lebanese citizens into Syrian territory.”
Israeli occupation forces have been carrying out a new aggression against Lebanon for several days, claiming it is aimed at eliminating security threats from Hezbollah and allowing settlers to return to areas in northern occupied territories near the border with Lebanon.
