French President Emmanuel Macron will pay a state visit to Morocco “at the end of October” to mark the revival of bilateral relations after a long period of coolness, the Elysee Palace told AFP on Friday.

King Mohammed VI sent a letter of invitation to the head of state on Thursday, welcoming ‘the promising prospects that are taking shape for our two countries’, the French presidency said.
