The Syrian Observatory reported the killing of 15 members of Iranian-backed factions and the injury of 35 others due to airstrikes on positions in Deir ez-Zor on Sunday.

Unknown warplanes targeted Iranian militia sites in the city and its eastern countryside, carrying out five airstrikes on military headquarters and a radar in the Harabesh neighborhood, Mount Tharde, and the development center in the Al-‘Ummal neighborhood.

The strikes also hit sites in the countryside of Al-Bukamal near the Syrian-Iraqi border. It remains unclear whether the strikes were Israeli or American.
