ibya’s House of Representatives on Monday approved the appointment of a central bank governor and deputy governor in a bid to resolve a crisis that has led to a drop in the country’s oil output.
The House of Representatives ratified the appointment of Naji Mohamed Issa Belqasem as the new governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) and Marei Raheel al-Barassi as his deputy, Reuters reported.
Both names were nominated during a recent meeting organised by the UN.
