At least 45 people have died after two boats carrying migrants sank off the coast of Djibouti, the UN’s International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said today.
The organisation said in a statement that the two boats had set out from Yemen with 310 people on board, noting that a large number of passengers are still missing.
In April, the IOM announced that at least 38 migrants, including children, had died in a shipwreck off the coast of Djibouti.
