The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold an emergency meeting on Wednesday to discuss developments in Lebanon and Israel.
This was announced in a statement by the Permanent Representative of Switzerland, which assumed the presidency of the Security Council today.
The statement added that the meeting would be open and then closed for consultations among member states.
The meeting was requested by France, the statement said.
