87 dead and 78 missing after ferry sinks in eastern DRC

At least 87 people died today (Thursday) after a ferry sank in Lake Kivu in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC),

the South Kivu provincial government also said 78 people were still missing. The 87 bodies recovered were taken to the morgue of the central hospital in Goma, and nine other survivors were hospitalised.
