Reports from the South Korean government revealed today that over 60% of the country’s car exports (approximately 1.14 million units) from January to August were shipped to North America, marking a 15.9% increase compared to last year.
The value of exports to the United States reached 970,000 units, accounting for about half of South Korea’s total car exports.
In contrast, car exports to other regions saw significant declines, with exports to Africa dropping by 44.7%, and exports to Asia, the European Union, Latin America, and the Middle East falling by rates ranging from 9.2% to 26.1%.
