Tunisia’s Presidential Elections: Polling Centers Open as Voters Head to the Ballot Boxes

Polling centers launched on Sunday in Tunisia for the presidential elections, where the incumbent president, Kais Saied, is considered the frontrunner, according to observers.
Registered voters, numbering 9.7 million, began casting their ballots starting at 8:00 AM (7:00 GMT) in more than 5,000 polling centers to choose their president for the next five years.
Voting will continue until 6:00 PM local time, according to the Independent High Authority for Elections in Tunisia.
