More than 400,000 people have crossed from Lebanon into Syria over the past two weeks

The Lebanese government’s Disaster Risk Management Unit announced today (Monday) that over 400,000 people have crossed from Lebanon into Syria, the majority of whom are Syrians, within a two-week period since Israel intensified its airstrikes on various areas in Lebanon.
In a report, the unit stated, “From September 23 to October 5, 2024, the General Security recorded the crossing of 300,774 Syrian citizens and 102,283 Lebanese citizens into Syrian territory.
