The head of the Independent High Authority for Elections in Tunisia, Farouk Bouasker, announced on Monday evening that President Kais Saied topped the preliminary results of the 2024 presidential elections, obtaining 90.69 percent of the voters’ votes in the voting process that took place on Sunday, October 6.
The preliminary results also indicate that candidate Ayachi Zamal came in second place with 7.35 percent, while candidate Zouhair Al-Maghzawi came in third place with 1.97 percent of the votes.
