The regions of Sherpur, Netrakona, and Mymensingh in Bangladesh have been hit by severe floods due to heavy rainfall and floods coming from India, resulting in the drowning of 8 people.
The Dhaka Tribune reported that water levels in the rivers have risen, causing new areas to be submerged.
In this context, local authorities, in collaboration with volunteer organizations and the Border Guard of Bangladesh, are working to rescue those affected by the floods in the Sherpur area.
The floods have affected more than 200 villages in Bangladesh so far, displacing over 150,000 people.
