China will provide emergency humanitarian medical supplies to Lebanon at the request of the Lebanese government, Li Ming, spokesman for the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDA), said on Tuesday.

In a statement released by the agency, Li noted that the situation in Lebanon and Israel has escalated recently, and that communication explosions and air strikes in different parts of Lebanon have caused a large number of casualties.
