The Kuwaiti Court of Ministers issued a ruling today (Tuesday) sentencing former Minister Mubarak Al-Harees to four years in prison with hard labor and a fine of 400,000 Kuwaiti Dinars (approximately 1.3 million dollars), in addition to his dismissal from public office.
He was convicted of exploiting his influence to obtain two industrial plots and selling them for 780,000 Kuwaiti Dinars.
Former Minister Mubarak Salem Al-Harees previously held the position of Minister and served as a member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly from 2013 to 2016. He also held the Ministry of State for Services and Affairs of the National Assembly.
