Rapid Support Forces Ban Exports to Egypt Amid Rising Tensions

The Rapid Support Forces, led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti,” have decided to ban exports from areas of Sudan under their control to Egypt, in response to Hemedti’s accusations against Cairo of bombing his forces.
The official spokesperson for the Rapid Support Forces warned the Egyptian government against what he termed “flagrant interference in Sudanese affairs,” calling for an end to military support for the Sudanese army.
In a widely circulated video, leader Mak Abu Shotal warned traders in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces against exporting any goods to Egypt, stating that violators would face severe penalties.
