CAF Opens Investigation into Nigeria-Libya Match Amid Allegations of Mistreatment

The African Football Confederation (CAF) confirmed on Monday that it has opened an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the match between Nigeria and Libya, scheduled for Tuesday, as part of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Nigerian national team had to land at Al Abraq Airport, located 300 kilometers east of Benghazi, due to a technical error at Benina Airport. In this context, the Nigerian federation pointed out that the team’s representatives suffered from mistreatment and inhumane treatment in Libya.
